Where Vero Estate was built for an end-viewer browsing listings, Atelier is built almost entirely for one user: the agency itself, and how they present their work to the most demanding possible audience — potential clients evaluating the studio's craft.

Problem.
I wanted to design something for an agency, but not a generic design agency template — there are enough of those. I carved out a more specific sub-niche: architecture-based design agencies. Part of this was also intentional on my end — I wanted an excuse to go fully editorial in style, and architecture as a niche justified that direction naturally.

Users.
The user here is more singular than Vero Estate's two-sided split: someone running an agency or business that lives or dies by how well it showcases its own work. The whole template is built around a magazine-style, image-first layout — the visual work itself is the product being sold, so the design has to get out of its own way and let the images lead.

Key Decisions.
The editorial system — section numbering like "ATL/01," grid references, index-style labeling — isn't decoration layered on top. It came directly from wanting every section to feel like a page out of a magazine. "ATL" is simply Atelier abbreviated into that page-reference format, so the whole numbering system reinforces the same idea instead of being a separate design choice.
The harder problem was technical: converting a rich, editorial magazine layout into a workable CMS index and detail page structure. My first instinct — one large rich text field per project — broke the layout as soon as content varied. The fix was treating each paragraph as its own separate CMS field instead of one text blob. This is the same underlying instinct as Vero Estate's agent-CMS decision: break content into structured, addressable pieces rather than dumping it into one field, so the layout stays predictable no matter what an agency uploads.
